I am registered with ASSVAP
Association for the
Scientific Study of Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapy
ASSVAP is the leading international association representing all animal therapists. This includes physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths,
hydrotherapists and massage therapists.
ASSVAP requires all their members to adhere to a stringent code of conduct and ethics and they must carry suitable insurance. Our members are
recognised by all leading Insurance Companies. ASSVAP members work in conjunction with Veterinary Surgeons to provide a professional treatment
service for injured and post-operative animals. Therefore, any owner instructing an ASSVAP member to treat their animal can be assured that
they will receive a professional and highly skilled service.
ASSVAP members also work with the animal athlete such as racehorses and racing greyhounds. No human athlete would compete without the support of
a musculoskeletal practitioner, and animals competing in sport deserve nothing less. ASSVAP practitioners are highly regarded within the
competition field, and recognised as being sufficiently skilled to enable animals to compete to their highest possible level, with minimal risk of injury. Therefore ASSVAP practitioners contribute considerably towards animal welfare.
I am insured with Balans Animal Physiotherapy Scheme.

Legally I need a referral form filled in by your veterinary surgeon before I can attend to your pet. Your vet can not dictate who you want to use for physiotherapy.
